Wax Appeal - In order to get the maximum benefits from waxing and go for maximum hair-free periods, clients do need to persevere and remain wax loyal, and it promises to be worth it! Hair grows in different stages and your first few sessions will be spent getting your hairs in-sync and moving in line together. This will ensure hair grows at the same rate and can be removed at the same rate, thereby maximizing your hair-free periods.
Shaving completely undermines this chorography, cutting hairs above the surface and promoting uneven growth. So, however much a pain re-growing for waxing is, however tempted you are to pick up the razor again... please don’t be a slave to the shave! Initially waxing is recommended every 4 weeks – you may experience immediate re-growth after your first session as hairs under the surface push through. By the third session however we’ll be getting them moving in line.

Why is Perron Rigot Wax recongnised as a less-painful experience When we use our hot wax on sensitive areas, we first apply an essential oil to the skin which acts as a barrier between the wax and the skin. Therefore, the wax is able to shrink wrap around the hair and will not stick to the skin. (Less tugging results in less pain!)

Q. 1 How long do I have to wait before my first wax?
A. To get the best results, I need your hair to be at least 1mm long. This takes the average person about 1 to 2 weeks of growth. After the first wax, as long as you do not shave between services, you’ll find the second wax to be a lot more comfortable. This is because your hair will grow in finer and more sparse. Typically, the ‘cactus’ feel you have with shaving will not exist with waxing, making it easier to grow out between waxes.

Q. 2 Is there anything I should do to prepare for waxing and to be comfortable?
A. Yes. There are a few things you can do. I often recommend taking ibuprofen at least 20 minutes before your waxing service, as long as this does not contradict what your doctor has told you. If you are a female client, schedule your waxing service the first two weeks after your cycle. Your sensitivity level is a lot less during this time. Avoid caffeine and alcohol as these can stimulate, making you more sensitive and increases the redness after waxing. Pregnancy also increases sensitivity.

Q. 3 How long will my skin stay red?
Depends on the person and the skin type. For most people it takes up to 1/2 hour. After waxing, do not tan or jump in chlorine for at least 24 hours. Avoid perfumes, scrubs, or other irritants the day of the waxing service.

24 hrs before the appointment, do not use any creams around eye area (you can use it on the rest of the face) This is something you would also need to be doing when you'll have your new eyelashes. This is due to creams containing oils and moisturizers that will be damaging the bond between eyelashes and the glue, therefore making eyelashes fall out much sooner.

Q: Can I wear Mascara on the lashes?

 Q: How long do Lash extensions last?
 A full set of lashes should last untouched for up to 4 weeks. However, most people are so delighted with their lashes they want to keep them for longer and therefore we recommend a top up appointment every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking pristine. For clients who would like to wear them on a long term basis I recommend a fresh set every 3 months.
